USS Providence
A replica of the sloop USS Providence will represent the Navy of the Revolutionary War.
The Independence Seaport Museum also operates the museum submarine USS Becuna, which fought in World War II and in the Cold War.
The Becuna will help represent the Navy of those wars and the undersea Navy.
The Becuna was launched in 1944 and completed five Pacific patrols sinking Japanese ships in the undersea offensive that helped cripple the Japanese Empire. After World War II, the Becuna was refitted with a streamlined hull and a snorkel, and conducted surveillance during the Cold War against the Soviet Union.
